Purpose of job:To work as part of a team, advising the firm’s clients on criminal law matters. This includes advising private individuals and companies during the investigation stages and, where relevant, post-charge in respect of the areas of law below. We provide 24/7 police station representation including an out of hours rota. Successful applicants will be asked to provide evidence of their skills in advising suspects in cautioned interviews. |
The department’s client base is predominately professional and high profile/high-net-worth individuals. This individual must demonstrate professionalism, a high degree of emotional intelligence, commerciality, financial discipline, excellent client care and discretion with all aspects of the case. Police Station Representation and Procedural Advice
- Advising companies and individuals concerning allegations of:
- Sexual misconduct
- Drugs offences
- Firearms offences
- Assault, Murder and other offences involving violence
- Serious driving offences
- Young adults and children in education investigations
- Search and seizure
- Restraint and confiscation
- Appeals and miscarriages of justice
- Investigations
- Advising witnesses and high profile complainants
- Private prosecutions
- Bribery and corruption
- Criminal tax offences
