Trainee Blog: Back to work

27th January 2012

First week back and we returned to the slightly depressing sight of blinking Christmas lights, trees and decorations. The only faint glimmer of hope I got from this was knowing how much more depressing it must have been for those in the regulatory department, what with their fancy grotto and all. I bet it didn’t look so clever in January. That’ll show them.

The trainees went bowling and we had a firm-wide social lunch at the end of last week – so we’re getting back into the social swing of things. We also had a “Wellness Day” on Tuesday, where we can attend one-to-one appointments on nutrition, massage, reflexology and general health checks, as well as lunchtime talks on matters such as stress.

Is it just me or has anyone else noticed how client names often reflect the nature of the case in which they are involved?
