IMMIGRATION FOR YOU

Choosing where you live is one of the biggest decisions you will make.  Finding a stable and secure location for you, your family and the things you care about is a key consideration when looking for a place to call home.

If you wish to come to the UK to live or work, you will need to meet the criteria under the Points Based System.  Points are awarded across a variety of criteria to reflect a migrant’s aptitude, experience, age and also (if they are coming to work in the UK) the level of demand in any given sector.  It is only if you meet the scoring level that you will be granted entry to work or live in the UK. 

There is now a monthly limit to the number of migrants allowed to enter the UK under some categories of the Points Based System.  You may apply to enter the UK under one of the following categories:

• Tier 1 Investor
• Tier 1 Entrepreneur
• Tier 1 Post Study Work
• Tier 5 Temporary Workers – Creative and Sporting
• Residence Permits for EEA Nationals and Families
• Family Visas for Spouses/Civil Partners, Unmarried Partners and Fiance(e)s 
• Permanent Residence or ILR
• British Citizenship
