Nick Rollason is a partner and head of Business Immigration.  He advises on all areas of UK immigration and nationality law and has particular expertise in providing strategic advice to businesses on their global immigration needs.

Recognised as "very experienced, knowledgeable and highly diligent' (Legal 500 2009) Nick is also known as an expert in EU immigration law and has litigated key test cases before the European Court of Justice.  He has been a regular contributor to the European Commission's Annual Report on Free Movement for the UK since 1997 and is a consultant to the International Labour Organisation and the OECD, for whom he acts as an expert on international highly skilled migration policy.  He is the author of the Immigration chapter in the Solicitors Family Law Association's International Aspects of Family Law and is currently co-authoring the chapter of Free Movement of Persons in Vaughan & Robertson's Law of the European Union. 

Nicolas is listed as a "prominent figure" in the Citywealth Leaders List 2011 and in the 2011 edition of the International Who's Who of Business Lawyers.

Further information

Nick studied history at Hertford College, Oxford and started his career at Baileys Shaw & Gillett in 1994. He joined Kingsley Napley in 1997 and became a partner in 2003. Nick was born and brought up in Geneva, Switzerland and has first hand experience of being part of an expatriate family. A native French speaker, a passionate cyclist and an enthusiastic cook, he has yet to book his gastronomic Tour de France with his wife and three children.
