Matthew Duncan

Matthew Duncan joined Kingsley Napley LLP as Practice Area Leader for Private Client in March 2010 from Dawsons.

Matthew has a broad based private client practice and has specialist expertise in a number of areas.

Matthew's particular expertise includes dealing with complex tax planning, trust and estate issues for both UK and international high net worth individuals and trustees.  He deals with high level estate and succession planning with particular emphasis on entrepreneurial clients and family businesses.  He is also involved with offshore planning work and has advised a number of trust companies and clients on international tax issues.

Matthew has been involved in a substantial number of tax planning exercises and has considerably assisted a number of families with tax structuring to minimise potential tax liabilities for the future incorporating the use of trusts and innovative structured products to achieve a very satisfactory outcome for the clients.  He has developed a strong practice in advising clients of a number of IFAs and has a complex probate practice.

Matthew is a very personable and well informed individual who is consistently praised by clients for his care and attention and his excellent advice.  Matthew is also a Professional Deputy for the Court of Protection.
