Mary specialises in regulatory and professional discipline law, investigating and presenting hearings before the fitness to practise Panels of the Health Professions Council (HPC) and the Teaching Agency (TA) (formerly the General Teaching Council or GTC).
Mary has investigated and presented cases involving allegations of serious misconduct, dishonesty, allegations of a sexual nature and complex lack of competence cases. A number of Mary’s cases heard before the Conduct and Competence Committee of the Health Professions Council have been reported in the local and the national press.
Mary has also delivered training on the English criminal justice system to the Security Industry Authority and has contributed sub chapters on a book co-authored by her colleague, Julie Norris, published in February 2011: The Law of Regulatory Enforcement and Sanctions, A Practical Guide.
Mary joined Kingsley Napley LLP in 2006, qualifying as a solicitor in 2009.
