Laura is responsible for the preparation of cases where a health professional faces an allegation that their fitness to practise is impaired as a result of their misconduct, lack of competence or health. Laura gathers, analyses and advises on the evidence presented in these cases on behalf of the Health Professions Council (HPC). As part of this, Laura also presents the cases on behalf of the HPC at Fitness to Practise hearings.

Laura is also responsible for the preparation of Security Industry Authority licensing appeals in both the Magistrates and Crown Courts. Laura advises the Security Industry Authority on evidential issues, points of law and presents licensing appeals on behalf of the Authority at the Magistrates Court.

Laura joined the Kingsley Napley Regulatory and Professional Discipline team in January 2009, from Bullivant and Partners, a well established and respected Criminal defence firm.  Laura qualified as a solicitor in 2001 whilst at Reynolds Dawson solicitors. She has previously specialized in criminal defence work. 

Laura has had conduct of a range of cases including manslaughter and rape and is a qualified police station representative. She has regularly appeared in the Magistrates Court representing both adults and youths.

Laura has been involved in the representation of individuals in Public Inquiries such as the Victoria Climbie and Marchioness Inquiry. In addition she has previously represented police officers in matters of crime and discipline.
