Clare is a Legal Assistant in the Regulatory and Professional Discipline practice area. She joined Kingsley Napley in July 2011. Since joining Clare has worked for two regulatory bodies, namely the Health Professions Council (HPC) and the Teaching Agency (TA) (formerly known as the General Teaching Council for England or GTCE). In this role, Clare investigates cases of alleged professional misconduct and lack of competency in preparation for Fitness to Practise hearings.
Prior to joining Kingsley Napley, Clare worked as a paralegal for a solicitors firm specialising in Healthcare Law, where she investigated cases on behalf of the Nursing and Midwifery Council and the General Dental Council, in particular specialising in cases involving midwives. Clare also worked for a prominent legal charity, acting for children and young people in public law proceedings against local authorities, most notably homeless young people seeking accommodation and services from the local authority. Clare has also worked on a voluntary basis with young offenders.
Clare completed the Legal Practice Course at Nottingham Law School and received a Distinction.
