Claire qualified as a solicitor in 2009. She has been employed at Kingsley Napley since 2004 and has been a member of the Criminal and Regulatory team since 2005.
Claire has experience working on 'white collar' matters especially cases involving fraud, corruption, restraint and confiscation. Claire also has experience dealing with cases involving simultaneous civil and criminal proceedings.
Claire's general criminal practice to date has predominantly involved the defence of cases relating to sexual offences, possession of indecent images, drugs and road traffic offences.
Claire has an interest in matters involving data protection and the disclosure of criminal records information. She advises foreign lawyers on criminal matters affecting their clients particularly in relation to immigration. Since the inception of the Independent Safeguarding Authority, Claire has been instructed to make representations on behalf of individuals included on the barred lists. She has been successful in having criminal records removed from the PNC and was a co-author of Kingsley Napley's response to the Governments' Consultation on the Retention of DNA.
Other information
Claire was called to the Bar in 2004. Prior to this she worked for 15 months in a criminal defence practice in New Orleans, Louisiana.
