Charlotte Wright completed her training contract with Kingsley Napley and qualified in September 2011.  She joined the Criminal Department in November 2011 after taking a sabbatical.

During her training contract, Charlotte gained experience of fraud work and general criminal litigation.  She worked on a rape matter and assault trials and assisted with fraud, assault and homicide matters. 

Charlotte also gained some experience of public law by working on the Baha Mousa Inquiry, a public inquiry into the death of a hotel worker while in the detention of British troops in Iraq.  Kingsley Napley acted for a number of soldiers who were witnesses to the inquiry.

Charlotte is currently assisting an individual being investigated by the Serious Fraud Office (SFO) and working on several general criminal matters.

Before training at Kingsley Napley, Charlotte studied Law at Oxford University and completed the Legal Practice Course at the Oxford University of Legal Practice.  After graduation she spent time travelling and worked in a large accountancy firm.  She also spent three months volunteering as an investigator in a public defender’s office in Oklahoma, assisting its death penalty defence teams with preparations for trial.
