Adrian joined Kingsley Napley as a partner in 2009. Previously, he trained at Simmons & Simmons, where he qualified in 1988 and became a partner in 1995 before moving to regional firm DMH Stallard as a partner in 1998.
Adrian has wide experience of all areas of employment and partnership law including litigation in the High Court, employment tribunal and employment appeal tribunal, advocacy in the employment tribunal and employment appeal tribunal, outsourcings, mergers and acquisitions, management buyouts and complex contracts. Recently, he has worked on large projects with clients including multinational companies, financial institutions and major law firms.
Adrian’s areas of expertise include
- Litigation (including advocacy) in the employment tribunal and employment appeal tribunal
- High Court litigation including breach of contract and restrictive covenant cases
- Management buyouts, buy ins and acquisitions
- Change management including restructurings, relocations and changes of terms and conditions
- Collective consultation and industrial disputes
- Advising both employers and executives on senior executive terminations
- TUPE and outsourcings
- Partnership agreements and partner exits
He regularly gives seminars and workshops for clients.

- Advising on a dispute involving restrictions in the field of professional services
- Defending complex discrimination claims including conducting mediations
- Representing senior executives including a number of chief executives and finance directors in connection with their termination
- Advising a public sector body on the application of TUPE to outsourcing arrangements
- Representing well known law firms, professional service firms, commodity and financial futures brokers, hedge funds, companies in the manufacturing and transport sectors and senior executives
- Resolving collective issues including major industrial disputes
- Advising on the employment aspects of major transactions including, sales outsourcings and privatisations

Further information
Adrian is married with two children to whom he provides a regular free taxi service and, between injuries, he plays tennis and badminton, runs and cycles.
